Pro-Obama cartoon.
This cartoon was created by Mike Luckovich on Nov. 5, 2008. The point of this cartoon is to show that Obama is the peoples choice and the people feel connected to him. Obviously the people who voted for Obama would like this cartoon but the people who didnt vote for him feel he wasnt the peoples choice and do not want to be part of his election. The way obama is position with his head up shows his confidence and illustrates him as a great leader. Having American citizens make the image of Obamas face symbolizes the connection Obama has with the American people. This cartoon supports the Democratic Party rather than the Republican party. It supports the Democrats because the Democrats are commonly the people who support Obama and since this cartoon is pro-Obama, it relates more to the Democrats.
Anti-Obama cartoon
This political cartoon was created by Glenn McCoy on July 13, 2012. The point of this cartoon is to show that Obama makes a lot of excuses when it comes to jobs in America. This cartoon would offend people who are pro-Obama and trust him but people who dont believe what Obama says would agree with the cartoon. In this cartoon Glenn McCoy draws Obama to look goofy. Obama has a big nose and big ears because it shows him as not serious. The man in American flag outfit begging for a job represents an American citizen and Obama is giving him excuses. This cartoon supports the views of Republicans because Republicans tend to not like Obama and this cartoon is bashing on Obama.
