Letter to Senator.
Dear Kay Bailey Hutchison,
My name is Carmen Cheek and i am a junior at Byron Nelson High School. For the past few months in my Ap English class we have been analyzing the 2012 presidential election and i have noticed lately how separated America is now with its Political views. Me and many citizens would agree that in the last few years of bipartisanship and aversion to comprise in the U.S. is the worst it has ever been since the Civil War. As we all know the period during the Civil War was one of the worst and divisive periods of time in American history. The United States of America was divided in half with each side at the other sides throat. To prevent such a thing to happen again i would advise you and all American leaders to make differences to prevent a similar event to happen again in Americas history. I would advise you not to pick just one party and favor only that one party. In order to fulfill a United States of America, we must first act united. You must forget about party differences and support both sides in order for Texas and America to stay together. Citizens follow in their leaders footsteps and see them as role models so if you look past party differences, the citizens will follow in your lead.
